Xbox VR Reference, Microsoft flight simulator code happens in the reference

Xbox and virtual reality, Phil spencer has been fairly critical of it not seeing. It catches on and we'll look into it more, maybe down the road and Sony. Of course, has been fairly bullish on it trying to do more and more with the PlayStation VR. Recently we haven't seen them do a lot. Because they are pushing towards the inevitable Playstation VR2 for the PS5. Shocked, if that was unveiled in the first year of the PlayStation 5's, life kind of set up the rest of the generation for virtual reality.

But we have of course heard mentioned before about the Xbox possibly using third-party virtual reality headsets. Check this out here, this is from the Flights Simulator forum and windows central at the store, here, where they spotted a pc VR. Then also a Scarlett VR line in the code for the game. Scarlett was the code name for the Xbox Series X and the Xbox Series S, kind of like the family of systems and you know what, doubt that at some point Flight Simulator played around with third-party headsets on Xbox development kits. That could be something that, they tried. They were wondering if it was feasible.

However, the only way to make sure it, all works across the board 100 is if Microsoft made an Xbox VR headset. We just don't think, they're that interested in doing it whereas Sony. Now on the PlayStation VR headset, there's a lot to it to hook it up to the PlayStation 4. Even the PS5 should be a bit freer, when it comes to it not needing things, maybe. Even, a booster box and all the stuff you need to make it work in the first place, but we just don't think Microsoft cares enough right now, to put that kind of effort into a virtual reality headset for the Xbox.

When they probably, won't see the return that they are looking for with that. If it would expand their overall vision which right now is to sell game pass any subscription service. Unfortunately, this is just them playing around with it testing it out, and saying could we let people use as the valve index with the Xbox Series X, could we let them use the HTC Vive or any of that. We'll see if that happens, but most think it will.
