The Oneplus Nord has officially been revealed. So we finally have the official reveal of the Oneplus Nord. So, that we now know its full specs design and launch date unlike most other leaks. If you're going to be purchasing the Oneplus Nord or is there another phone you have your eye on but this time around we've had so much information i don't even know where to start carl pei showed us the Oneplus Nord himself. We had a full spec sheet leaked full camera details pre-orders opening up and news the Oneplus Buds are launching alongside. The Oneplus Nord first up we've got the Oneplus Buds launching alongside the Oneplus Nord. Oneplus have provided headphones in the past such as the bullets, but the Oneplus Buds are more of a true wireless experience. But they do look very similar to airpods well they are a bit late to the market with these it will of course be a good thing to sell alongside their Oneplus Nord as well as their other ranges next up.
We've got the full spec sheet leaked for the Oneplus Nord and it's looking like a very capable device. The specs leaked were by evan blass and they're reportedly from a virtual Nord training presentation while the specs appear to be accurate. The design is of course incorrect this is meant to be the case however as evan advises the design is simply a placeholder. This is also obvious as we've got a single rear camera in the image with the quad camera setup listed it does confirm things that we already knew and were hoping for such as the 90 hertz amoled display the quad camera setup on the rear the dual cameras on the front and the Snapdragon 675G next up we have the reveal of the Oneplus Nord. That i guess we can be calling official as it came from carl pay himself for those that don't know carl pay is the co-founder of Oneplus. We did get a look at the Oneplus Nord. We were first given a glimpse of the original Oneplus Nord and as you can see it's very different to what we're expecting colpay explains that they did do something. They wouldn't normally do and they changed the design very late in the process and this is the reason for the delays and it pushed the launch back over a month. Some of you may have also seen this prototype in some earlier documentary videos he then shows us the final design and interestingly enough. He says it's the design they settled with probably not the best phrasing considering their slogan is never settled. But he shows off the Oneplus Nord final design from the front and the back.
So we now know we're getting a dual camera on the front and a quad camera set up on the rear in this vertical camera alignment and of course an led flash in the top. Right this also confirms that the Oneplus Nord is coming in the grey in teal color variants. But we don't know if there's going to be any extras throughout the interview he also gave plenty of confirmations on features and specs and he explained how they wanted the Oneplus Nord to be a budget mid-range phone. But still be comfortable to use and provide that flagship experience he confirmed it will have the 90hz amoled display. Which is one of the most important features it's gonna have a four thousand one hundred and fifteen milliamp hour battery to easily last the day it will of course come with reasonable cameras that we'll cover in detail shortly and it's all powered by the Snapdragon 765G now the Snapdragon 765G isn't the most powerful chipset. But it is good enough using this system on chip allows them to keep the cost of the Oneplus Nord down and for day-to-day use you won't notice the difference it's not going to be able to play the latest 3D games in full detail. But it will still be able to play them it's going to be able to provide a pleasurable experience for day-to-day use, but it just can't do anything too demanding evan blass also tweeted early on a range of cases leaked for the Oneplus Nord one of the most interesting cases was of course the jerryrig everything case which has now been confirmed by the official Oneplus twitter and gives us a look at what the inside of the Oneplus Nord looks like but overall it's looking like a good mid-range phone.
That won't break the bank but it will provide you with the specs and design you want the phone is being launched on the 21st of July so in just six days time and given that we already have the specs i'm going to run through them. So when it comes to the Oneplus Nord we get a pretty much full screen display which is a fluid amoled 6.44 inch display at a resolution of 1080p by 2400p this gives us a 20 by 9 aspect ratio and a 409 pixels per inch density the Oneplus Nord is going to have a 90 hertz refresh rate a dual punch hole selfie camera and an in-display fingerprint scanner the punch hole selfie camera consists of a 32 megapixel wide angle camera with an aperture of f 2.45 and we get an 8 megapixel ultra wide with an aperture of f 2.45 it's capable of 1080p video at 30 frames a second. But it doesn't have optical image stabilization, when it comes to the rear of the Oneplus Nord. We've got a quad camera setup in the vertical camera alignment we have a 48 megapixel primary sensor with a wide angle lens and an aperture of f 1.75 this has both phase detect auto focus as well as optical image stabilization. This is supported by an 8 megapixel ultra wide with an aperture of f 2.2 a 5 megapixel depth camera with an aperture of f 2.4 and finally a 2 megapixel macro camera with an aperture of f 2.4 the Oneplus Nord has dual led flash and it does support hdr it allows for 4k or 1080p video but only at 30 frames a second.
This is most likely down to its weaker system on chip, but it will provide electronic and optical stabilization the phone comes with six gigs of ram and 128 internal storage while other Oneplus phones recently have removed the MicroSD card slot we are hoping for this to come back in the Nord. But they still haven't confirmed the Oneplus Nord is powered by the Snapdragon 765G .Which is a capable chipset to power the phone it's going to manage day-to-day tasks with no issues and it's only going to struggle with the very demanding tasks it has 5G connectivity nfc bluetooth 5.1 and it's all powered by a 4150 milliamp hour battery with 30 watt warp charge support. it's unfortunately does not have the three and a half mil headphone jack, but we will likely see deals for the Oneplus Buds. Now overall it's looking like a great mid-range smartphone and should compete well with the Pixel 4a in the iphone se it's providing us with a decent 90 hertz display and a respectable camera setup on the rear that means for most people it's going to be able to do everything they need of course if you're a gamer then this isn't the phone for you.
But for anyone else it's definitely going to be worth considering it's launching in europe in india first and then it may go to north america later on its launch price is expected to be just under 500.
